Rev. James F. Davis, III was born February 14, 1955 the son of Mr. James F. Davis, Jr. (deceased) and Mrs. Jeannette Deborah Crawford Davis (deceased), in Dillon, South Carolina.  He was raised in the city of Hartsville, South Carolina.  He has one sister, Lydia Letitia Davis, of Wilmington, North Carolina.  Rev. Davis is a 1973 graduate of Butler High School of Hartsville, SC; a 1977 graduate of South Carolina State University.  In college Rev. Davis met his lovely wife, Gale (Smith) Davis of Mullins, SC in January 1974.

Upon graduating from South Carolina State University, Rev. Davis was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army as an Artillery Officer in December 1977.  In July 1978, Rev. Davis married his college sweetheart Gale (Smith) Davis.  Rev. Davis served in the U. S. Army for 11 years by the Sovereign plan of God.  On September 22, 1979, 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, the Lord saved the soul of Rev. Davis at Pinder Barracks Chapel in Zirndorf, Federal Republic of Germany.  On October 27, 1983 at the Reynolds Army Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma the Lord blessed Sis. Davis and Rev. Davis with a daughter, Ivy Elise Davis.  Ivy is a 2005 graduate of Fisk University, and a 2009 graduate of Hi-Tech Medical Institute both schools in Nashville, Tennessee.  Ivy is presently married to Mr. Marzell Underwood, Jr.  Rev. Davis was called by the Lord Jesus Christ to preach in March of 1982 at the Grant Chapel AME Church of Lawton, Oklahoma, under the mentorship of the late Rev. R. C. Jenkins, his father in the ministry.

Upon leaving the military, by the divine direction of the Lord in 1989 Rev. Davis attended the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), Morehouse School of Religion, there he graduated in May of 1992 with honors with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling.  Upon graduating from ITC Rev. Davis began working as an addiction counselor with the Greenville County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (presently The Phoenix Center) where he served for 11 years.

Rev. Davis has shepherded two Churches: Holly Springs Baptist Church, Ware Place South Carolina from October 1990 until October 1994; and he has been the appreciative pastor of the Dunn Creek Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, South Carolina since October 1994.  Rev. Davis has served as the president of the Little River Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education.  He is the former president of the Ware Shoals Ministerial Association.  He works as a substitute teacher and school bus driver for the Ware Shoals School District 51 of which he is a member of the Ware Shoals High School, School Improvement Council.  Rev. Davis is the Grief Counselor for the Holloway Funeral Home of Belton, South Carolina; he is a trustee for the Little River Multicultural Complex; and the Vice Moderator of Union No. 1 of the Little River Missionary Baptist Association. Presently, Pastor Davis is pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry from the David T. Clamp Divinity School, Anderson University College of Christian Studies. If anybody ask you who is he, just tell them that he is a child of God!!!


 Is a native of Donalds, SC. Her educational background includes graduating from Ware Shoals High School, Anderson School of Practical Nursing, Anderson University, and Erskine Theological Seminary. She has been serving as the Assistant Pastor of Dunn Creek Baptist Church since 2001 under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. James F. Davis lll. Rev. Henderson has been preaching since 1987. She has served as a Pastor, Union Moderator, and in various other roles in the Church body but has remained faithful to her first call as a teacher of the Word of God. She also does conferences and work shop presentations.

The fields are white for the harvest and the Lord has need of workers. It is by their willingness, ableness and availability that He send forth to do His will and His work and since He is the Lord of the harvest all the Glory belongs to Him. It is our privilege to serveeverend Deloris Henderson


 Reverend Mattie Coats Quarles is the daughter of the late Ben and Mosselle Coats.

Rev. Quarles is married to Mr. Edward (Buddy) Quarles, where in this union they have 2 sons,Christopher Quarles and Kelcy Quarles. The have one granddaughter, Nazariah Quarles.

Rev Quarles was educated in the Greenwood County School District. She attended Piedmont

 Technical College and received her certificate of Theology from the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) of Atlanta, Ga.

Rev Quarles is Associate Pastor at Dunn Creek Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, SC . Where she is AWANA commander. Rev Quarles loves to Preach the word of GOD. She loves sharing the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel.

 Her hobbies are gardening and working with flowers.

 She is a mover and shaker for Christ and doesn’t mind doing what needs to be done, because one of her favorite Scripture is:

 “We must work the works of him that sent us while it is day, because night is coming” John 9:4


Minister Mark A.Sheard is the son of Julia J.Sheard and the late Clyde Sheard.He was educated in the Ware Shoals school district.From there he joined and served his country faithfully in the South Carolina Army National Guard and is now a veteran.Minister Sheard accepted his calling into the ministry on October 22,2010. He received his license to preach on October 23,2011 under the leadership of Rev. James F. Davis III. He is a member of the Dunn Creek Baptist Church where he gave his life to Christ at the age of 12 years old on August 14th 1981. There as a youth he was taught,trained,and exercised Christian Doctrines and Fundamentals.As a youth he served on many ministries as well as youth sunday school superintendent. As an adult he served on many ministries within Dunn Creek and 7 years as a deacon. Currently he works with the missionaries in visiting the sick and shut-in, High School Sunday School Teacher, Asst.Dean of the Little River Missionary Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education,and the Associate Minister of Dunn Creek Baptist. Minister Sheard is married to Amelia his wife of 20 years,they have one daughter Aurelia,one son Markus,and a son-n-law Martavious Dye.
Minister Sheard is currently attending Calvary Bible Institute of Greenwood to gain more knowledge and understanding of God’s holy word.
Minister Sheard’s two favorite scriptures are:
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he shall direct thy paths.”

 Proverbs 22:6”Train up a child in the way he should go,and when he is old he will not depart from it.” These two verses of scripture is tangible proof of Minister Sheard’s life in trusting God,having loving parents,grandparents,a loving,strong,God-fearing wife and children with a good solid church family foundation with love and support that took the time to teach and instill in him the value of knowing and feeling the love of Jesus the Christ.
